Mobolaji holds a B.sc (Hons.) in Economics from the University of Ibadan (1994). He is a proficient banker who has to his credit 29 years of working experience. Mobolaji started his career in Banking in 1995 and worked with the following banks; Ecobank, GTBANK, UBA, and Intercontinental Bank.
In his Banking career he worked in various Departments: Operations Department, Treasury Division and Corporate Banking Division. Mobolaji has an impressive and extensive knowledge of the Nigerian Banking sector and the Nigerian Economy. He left Banking in 2010, as Group Executive, Energy Group at Intercontinental Bank plc to take up an appointment as a consultant to Afromedia Group and was instrumental in the setting up of the Department of Outdoor Advertisement and Signage Abuja and helped increase the IGR in the FCT from N500M TO N1.5b a month.
He also worked as Executive Director Business Development Group in Woodbrass Petroleum a petroleum trading Company.
